Matt JonesMay 10, 2021.It was the dead of winter and I had Reliance come and do a regular maintenance of my 10 year old Furnace. Within 15 min of arriving the technician told me he was red tagging my furnace and shutting it off because of CO2 emissions (Which was strange because I had just put in 2 new detectors?) but he could have a salesperson out within the hour to help me. Salesperson arrived and quoted me $10K for new AC and Furnace. Had a Lennox dealer come out next who looked at the furnace for 15 min and told me $9K. Thankfully I had been referred to Fortis and Craig showed up promptly, Looked at the furnace and before he would give me a price asked that he do his own diagnostic. He took the furnace apart and checked the exhaust on the outside of the house and inside the furnace and found NO CO2 emissions!!! He removed the red tag and activated the furnace for me at no charge and his only ask was that I consider him when I did need any HVAC work done. I had Fortis install a new AC unit and thermostat this week and they gave me a Fair Price, did an exceptionally professional install, and cleaned up and checked everything before they left. Fortis will be the first call for all of my friends and family going forward.
